Junior Courses

The Junior Course is for young actors aged 11 – 15. These workshops are an opportunity for young actors who lack confidence or experience and need time to build up their craft.

This is the least intense course at RAaW, focused on fun and confidence-building. Workshops run every Saturday in term time, from September – July.

Junior Courses

The Upper Junior Course is a step up from the Junior Course. While it’s still a lot of fun, Upper Juniors challenges 12 – 15 year olds who have a lot of potential but not a lot of experience yet.

Commitment and a great attitude go a long way in the Upper Juniors. Workshops run every Saturday in term time, from September – July.

The Upper Junior Course only accepts new applicants in the Autumn term. See our prospectus for more information.

Adult Drop-in Workshops

The Lower Foundation Course is aimed at actors aged 13 – 16 who have some experience. Getting a bit more intense, most Lower Foundations student move up from the Upper Juniors, ready for a new challenge. Workshops run every Saturday in term time, from September – July. The Lower Foundations Course accepts new applicants only in the Autumn term. See our prospectus for more information.

Foundation Course

The Foundation Course is a slightly more intense course aimed at young people aged 14 (year 10) – 18 (year 13) with quite a bit of experience and a great work ethic. It’s a step up from the Lower Foundations and challenges the young people pushing them to achieve their full potential. Workshops run every Saturday in term time, from September – July. The Foundation Course is fast-paced and only accepts new applicants in September. It does not accept late applicants. See our prospectus for more information.

One and Two Year Courses

The Upper Foundation Course is a challenging course for young actors aged 16 – 19 who have been through the Lower Foundations or for new applicants with experience.

Upper Foundations spend a lot of their day working along side the Adult One and Two Year Course. Actors who complete two years of training on the Upper Foundations/Adult Acting Course will be able to use RAaW as training to gain access to Spotlight.

Workshops run every Saturday in term time, from September – July.

The Foundations Course is fast-paced and only accepts new applicants in September It does not accept late applicants.

ADULT ONE AND TWO YEAR COURSE

The Adult One and Two Year Course is aimed at adult actors aged 18 – 27. It’s an intense actor training course crafted to push actors to excel, and prepare for success in the industry. Actors who complete two years of training on the Adult Acting Course will be able to use RAaW as training to gain access to Spotlight. Workshops run every Saturday in term time, from September – July. The Adults Course only accepts new applicants in September and does not accept late applicants.
